The brief
Plan and deliver about four exhibition seasons a year, with around ten artists at a time, and run the building's operations.

- Planning and coordinating more than 35 exhibitions and cultural projects.
- Up to 10 simultaneous exhibitions across a dozen rooms.
- Leading 3 full-time employees and about 5 assistant installers, plus craftspeople and subcontractors.
- Budgets, purchasing and supplier negotiations.
- Building management and maintenance.
Doing a lot with a little
Production budgets were tight. He learned to get the most out of them: negotiating every purchase, choosing the right suppliers and building things himself when that was the best option, like the centre's staircase railing.
